Cassandra, You Got Old!
Site-participatory work · Seoul International Dance Festival in TANK 2026 · Oil Tank Culture Park · about 13 minutes (15 including gathering)
Cassandra was a princess of Troy, cursed by the god Apollo to speak true prophecies that no one would believe. This work re-imagines her: what if, instead of dying, she had aged — carrying decades of unheeded warning in her body, and still kept dancing? It is a work about the passage of time in a woman’s life, and a celebration of older dancers, their lived experience, and their continued vitality.
Cassandra, You Got Old! is site-participatory, created specifically for the Seoul International Dance Festival in TANK 2026 at the Oil Tank Culture Park. The audience follows the dancer through the site, indoors and out. Each person listens to the score privately, on their own phone and headphones — a personal, intimate connection. Audience and dancers share the same space and sound, but each of us stays distinct: our own listening, our own path.
The sound score, and how to take part, live on one link — you can listen there on the day, or download it beforehand to arrive ready without needing data: visionairedigitalarts.com/cassandra-seoul26
Participation is a choice. You are welcome simply to watch and walk with the dancer. You are also welcome to take part, joining her with movements of your own.
