The final performance
The final performances to full houses took place 18-20 September at El Bastión. We want to extend our thanks to all who came and supported the endeavour with their presence, energy and curiosity to know more. Below we share some of the images as well as testimonials from our audience members, the best measure of our success.
The final performances was a coproduction between Vision.AI.R-E and Asociación ACirc. Hom[e]age was made possible with the support of New England Foundation for the Arts, Touring and Presentation Grant, with lead funding from the Doris Duke Foundation and the Mellon Foundation. We also extend our thanks to our main sponsor Insignia Senior Linving.
Homage touched my heart. It was deeply moving to see how memory and experience transform into movement, celebrating with such beauty the strength and legacy of those who have paved the way. It was a privilege to witness. Each gesture connected me with the memory , love, and wisdom of those who have lived and continue to leave their mark on our history. Very grateful . J.A.G
Enjoying Hom [e] age was a beautiful experience, full of imagination, history, and emotion. It allowed me to connect with the experiences of these incredibly talented older adults, whose stories are so similar to my own despite the generational gap. This space, where the boundaries of possibility were broken through movement, art, and performance, was a beautiful experience. H.D.S
The presentation was very effective in reflecting how age is no obstacle when it comes to dancing. The fusion of traditional dance (dance, salsa) interspersed with body movement pieces kept me in suspense. The opportunity for participants to also create and develop performances, combining theater and dance techniques, made them responsible for maintaining a high-quality performance. A great part of the experience was the continuous performance without intermission, which kept the audience engaged and their energies connected to the participants. J.G.R
